Therapeutic Approach

I work from a psychodynamic theoretical background, helping you understand why you feel the way you do and bringing meaning and context to your experiences. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more in control of your life, safer within yourself, and more aware of the patterns that may be holding you back. Feeling that we have options in the world is deeply empowering, and therapy can help restore that sense of choice.

This is an intimate journey that I take seriously, and I deeply respect your decision to include me in your personal process. While I may teach skills from time to time, they are tailored to your specific needs—and sometimes even fun.

My background in mindfulness meditation often informs our work. I may use the breath and awareness of the breath to help you ground, slow down, and create space to “be” with yourself in a new and meaningful way.

What I Help With

I work from a place of recognizing people’s strengths and resilience. Whether you’re feeling depressed or anxious, have survived trauma, are navigating challenges around sexuality, or are struggling in your relationship, I can help you put words to what’s happening so you can begin to make change.

Together, we’ll develop a more empowered and authentic narrative—one that helps you feel more grounded, connected, and like your truest self.
